Services I provide:
Individual Counseling and Psychotherapy, Family Counseling, Couples Counseling:
I work and specialize not only with those struggling from eating problems, but also treat a broad range of issues that may bring you into counseling. Family and relationship concerns, stress-related problems, traumatic experiences, and conflicts at work or home can all result in pain and distress. Counseling can offer you opportunities to learn new skills of emotional intelligence and positive communication, to increase self-understanding, and to promote fulfilling connections to others. Honest exploration leads to emotional growth, as well as positive changes in thought patterns and behaviors.
My current fee is $140 for a session of 50 minutes. While I am not on any specific insurance PPO or HMO panels, most insurance policies will cover a percentage of my services once an out-of-network deductible has been met. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about this.
Journal Therapy groups:
Groups are based on themes, to include a Journal Therapy Teen Group for Eating Disorder Recovery, and Journal Therapy Personal Growth Group for Counselors and Psychotherapists, Journal Therapy Group for Anxiety Disorder Recovery, and Journal Therapy Group for Spiritual-Seekers. Groups run for a total of 8 weeks, 1X week for 90 minutes. My current fee for group participation is $75 per group session. All members must commit to a full 8 week program.
Journal to the Self Workshops:
This is a journal writing workshop based on the work of Kathleen Adams. I am a certified JTTS instructor, and offer this 6-week workshop approximately 2X year. Groups are limited to 6-8 participants, and we meet weekly for 120 minutes. This workshop is experiential, and is designed to teach you a wealth of journal therapy and expressive writing techniques that promote self-directed change and growth. While this is not a “therapy-group” per se (cannot submit to insurance), it is often very therapeutic. Current fee for participation is $300 for the entire 6 weeks. All members must commit to the entire workshop.
